First grade wrapped up their CKLA Reading Domain 2 with a fun culminating activity. Students reviewed their brain, nutrition, vaccines and even had a special visit from Dr. Seamons who checked students’ weight, height, ears and let them see inside their ears and mouths. He even brought an ambulance for the kids to explore!

Congratulations to Mrs. Brown's and Mrs. Belliston's classes! They won a FREE RECESS! Students work hard all quarter to earn Caught Being Good papers. A copy of these papers is added to a K-2 or 3-5 bucket each time it is earned. At the end o the quarter one Caught Being Good is drawn from each bucket. The recipient earns a free recess for their entire class!

Meet Mr. G (Glasheen), one of our awesome 4th-grade teachers at Rock Creek Elementary! As one of the few men on our school staff, he brings a special kind of energy to our school, and we’re so glad he’s part of our Rock Creek family! 🙌

Back in the day, Mr. G’s favorite color was blue, his favorite school lunch was turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy (a classic comfort-food choice! 😋), and his favorite activity was playing football! 🏈

Small Steps, BIG Progress at Rock Creek!

We're excited to celebrate the hard work happening in our Resource Program!

As we wrap up the first quarter, 29 students have already met or are making progress toward their individual learning goals!

From improving reading fluency and mastering math skills to strengthening communication, independence, and classroom success, our students are showing that consistent effort and individualized support make a difference.

Every student learns at their own pace, and every step forward is worth celebrating!

Way to go, Rock Creek Raptors! Keep up the amazing work!

It’s hard to believe, but the first quarter is already wrapping up!
