Dual Immersion Program - Bilingual Education

The Twin Falls School District’s Dual Immersion Program is taking an exciting step forward by relocating to Bickel Elementary School for the 2025-26 school year. This move will allow the program to grow and officially operate as a district-wide magnet program, making it accessible to all incoming kindergarten students across the district.

The Dual Immersion Program provides students with the unique opportunity to learn in both English and Spanish, developing bilingual and bi-literate skills while mastering grade-level content. This research-backed model enhances cognitive development, academic performance, and cultural awareness, giving students a strong foundation for lifelong success.

“This transition to Bickel Elementary strengthens our commitment to making the Dual Immersion Program accessible to more families while maintaining the high-quality instruction that has made it so successful,” said Jorge Pulleiro, the Dual Immersion Program principal. “Being a magnet program means students from across the district can apply, creating a truly diverse and enriching learning environment.”

The program is open to all incoming kindergarten students in Twin Falls, including native Spanish speakers. Families interested in enrolling their child must complete the application form before May 7. A parent information meeting will be held to provide details about the program and answer any questions:
