First grade wrapped up their CKLA Reading Domain 2 with a fun culminating activity. Students reviewed their brain, nutrition, vaccines and even had a special visit from Dr. Seamons who checked students’ weight, height, ears and let them see inside their ears and mouths. He even brought an ambulance for the kids to explore!

Congratulations to Mrs. Brown's and Mrs. Belliston's classes! They won a FREE RECESS! Students work hard all quarter to earn Caught Being Good papers. A copy of these papers is added to a K-2 or 3-5 bucket each time it is earned. At the end o the quarter one Caught Being Good is drawn from each bucket. The recipient earns a free recess for their entire class!

💜⚽ WHEN MRS. G WAS A KID! ⚽💜
Time to meet another amazing member of our 5th-grade team — Mrs. Glasheen! 💜 Whether she’s inspiring her students in the classroom or sharing her love of all things Harry Potter, she brings her own special magic to Rock Creek Elementary! 🪄✨
When Mrs. G. was a kid, her favorite color was purple, her favorite snack was peanut butter bars (yum! 😋), and she loved playing soccer and participating in 4-H! ⚽🍀
We wonder if the Sorting Hat would have placed little Mrs. Glasheen in the same Hogwarts house she’d choose today?!? 🧙♀️📚 And if she could have one magical power in her classroom, we’re guessing it might be a little help with grading papers! 😂
We’re so lucky to have Mrs. G. as part of our Rock Creek family! 💜

🏈💙 WHEN MR. G WAS A KID! 💙🏈
Meet Mr. G (Glasheen), one of our awesome 4th-grade teachers at Rock Creek Elementary! As one of the few men on our school staff, he brings a special kind of energy to our school, and we’re so glad he’s part of our Rock Creek family! 🙌
Back in the day, Mr. G’s favorite color was blue, his favorite school lunch was turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy (a classic comfort-food choice! 😋), and his favorite activity was playing football! 🏈
We wonder if his students can guess which of these childhood favorites he still loves today?!? 😉💙

Rock Creek is offering Flu Vaccines on Thursday, 10/29. In order for your child to receive one, you must fill out the paperwork that was sent home.

If you don't want to forget your year at Rock Creek, here is some information for ordering a 2026-2027 yearbook!

Mrs. Brown's, Mrs. Stephenson's, Mrs. George's, Mrs. Dilworth's, Mrs. Hendrickson's, and Mrs. Garrett's classes have been practicing good behavior in the library. They earned a free day in the library by filling their beehive with bees. They enjoyed Legos, Magna Tiles, games, coloring, puzzles and dominos.

Don't forget to attend the Book Fair next week before or after your child's conference!

💬 Parent-Teacher Conference week is here! Teamwork makes the dream work, and staying connected is the best way to support your student's progress.
